Suite del Nuncio | 1BR | Kitchen | Courtyard

Built in the XVI century, just steps from Toledo Cathedral, this historic building has been recently renovated respecting the archaeological requirements of a historical building. It was the residence of Gabriel Meliton, important musician and composer. He founded here the music academy "Santa Cecilia" with the authorisation of Cardinal Ciriaco Maria Sancha. The Suite was the music classroom. The room access is through a fabulous private Toledo patio. Each room has an independent access.

Via del Nuncio Viejo, located in the dense and historic **old town of Toledo**, offers a wonderful walking experience but can be challenging for vehicles. Here's some tips you needs to know: ### On Foot – The Best Option Toledo's historical center is compact, walkable, and **mostly pedestrianized**. Via del Nuncio Viejo itself is a **narrow, stone-paved street** not suitable for regular car traffic. Walking is by far the best and most enjoyable way to get around: * Wear **comfortable shoes**—the streets are cobbled and steep in some areas. * Signage and maps are well-placed for tourists, and many landmarks are within a **10–15-minute walk**. ### 🅿️ Parking Options Since driving into the old town is difficult and often restricted to residents, it's recommended to **park outside the historical center** and walk or take public transport in: * **Parking Safont (Aparcamiento de Azarquiel)**: Free outdoor lot near the escalators up to the old town. * **Parking Corralillo de San Miguel**: Underground parking near the Alcázar and Cathedral—**closest paid option** to Via del Nuncio Viejo (5–7 minutes on foot). * **Parking Recaredo**: Located by the city walls, this paid lot is about a **10-minute walk** from the Cathedral. ### 🚇 Escalators & Access Points Toledo has outdoor **escalators** that help visitors reach the hilltop old town from lower parking areas: * The **Escalator of Recaredo** is particularly helpful if you're walking in from Parking Safont or Recaredo. ### 🚌 Public Transport * **Tourist Train (Zocotren)** and **Hop-On-Hop-Off Buses**: These small vehicles tour the city’s highlights and offer panoramic views with audio guides. They don't go through Nuncio Viejo directly but stop nearby (Plaza de Zocodover or the Cathedral). * **Urban Buses**: Local buses reach the edges of the old town but not the inner narrow streets. They’re more useful for travel between neighborhoods or back to the train station. ### 🚕 Taxis & Ride-Sharing * Taxis can drop you off at accessible nearby locations (like Plaza del Ayuntamiento or Calle Cardenal Cisneros), just a short walk from Via del Nuncio Viejo. * Ride-sharing (like Uber/Cabify) is not widely used in Toledo. Taxis are more reliable. **Tip**: Once in the area, explore on foot to enjoy Toledo's stunning architecture, hidden courtyards, and centuries-old ambiance—something that can’t be experienced by car.
